Willow is a loveable klutz that is running her grandmother's book & tea shop in small town Windermere. Next thing she knows Councilwoman Pruitt keels over after sipping Willow's tea. Not only does Willow, her cat Whisp, and handyman Evan have to figure out what really happened to the Councilwoman before Willow is thrown in jail and the shop permanently closed. The town's people's smiles are hiding secrets but who is willing to kill for them? Loved the characters in this book and hope to see more stories with them. A definite page turner.

I am not much of a reader but this book kept my interest from the first few pages. The characters are well written, as is the setting and plot. It was easy to get lost in the town of Windermere and get swept up in the mystery due to the authors way with words.

A smart talking cat and familiar, Whisp, helps psychic Willow Thorne deal with murder while trying to start fresh in Windermere. Eliza Quill writes an intriguing mystery with well-developed characters and a long list of suspects. My favorite is Whisp, a very sarcastic feline. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Witch Willow, and her cat, Whisp, go to Windermere to take over the tea shop that her grandmother left her. Her luck here is what I would say, “if I didn’t have bad luck, I wouldn’t have no luck at all”.
So get the book and see if Willow and Whisp get out of the “bad luck” you won’t regret it! It is a cute cozy read!
